Meet Pat, if you haven't already!

Hi Neighbors!

We'd like to introduce you to our friend Pat.  Then again, you may already know her.

Pat has been working at Shaws here in Fenway for 15 years now, and she still shares a smile bright and early every morning with every customer that comes through her line.

"I look forward to my job" Pat says, "I fell in love with it."

Pat enjoys meeting new people, as well as seeing the familiar faces.

We see Pat nearly every day, at least once, running  over to get more bananas or baking soda or whatever it is that we run out of on a given day.

"No bananas today?" Pat will smirk. Yes, we run out of bananas a lot  (that means all of our neighbors are getting plenty of Potassium, right? :)

When Pat isn't working, she enjoys exploring Fenway.  "I like to go to different restaurants," Pat says, so she can give customers ideas and honest reviews.

Pat quickly assures us, "I've only given two bad reviews, and you aren't one of them!"

Aside from the diversity in people, Pat also enjoys the diverse ambiance of Fenway.  "One minute you're in the hustle and bustle of the city, and a 5 minute walk later you're in the park.  On a bad day, you can take refuge in a store, a restaurant, or go see a ball game" Pat says.

"Even when I retire, I don't plan on totally retiring," says Pat, as she repeats "I look forward to going to work.  I can't do nothing all day; I'd get bored!"

In her spare time, Pat enjoys a good mystery novel,  "They keep you guessing.  When I'm wrong I'm really upset though, " she says with a chuckle.

Pat can also be found watching episodes of "How I met your Mother.  "After the hustle and bustle of the day I like a good laugh," she says.

Those comedy-watching sessions must be productive, because, even when the lines wrap around the store with people stocking up for the next snow-storm, Pat is calm, collected, and smiling!

Then next time you're at Shaws, say "hi!" to our friend Pat!  She is our "Neighbor of the Month!"

Thanks for being you Pat!
